Dr. Alyssa Carver joined the Ellwood Animal Hospital team in 2012. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary & Biomedical Sciences, and received her Master’s degree in Biology from Chatham University. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She holds a CCRP in rehabilitative therapy from the University of Tennessee and has extensive experience with the underwater treadmill, massage, and teaching clients how to perform in-home exercise programs. Dr. Carver is a USDA Accredited veterinarian & is also Fear-Free Certified.

Dr. Carver particularly enjoys performing PRP and Stem Cell Therapy, as part of our physical therapy program. She also has special interest in small animal dentistry, surgery, emergency medicine, imaging and CT scanning.

When she is not doing community work and working at the practices, Dr. Carver enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, working out and being outdoors.

For as long as she can remember, Dr. Carver has always wanted to be care for animals. She grew up in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, graduated from New Brighton High School in 2009, and returned home after her studies to be near her tight-knit family. She not only is close to family, but also with her several pets. She has 6 pets; 2 Shih Tzus (Sasha and Oscar) and 4 cats (Charlee, Spike, Tuko, & Kee Kee).
